The official first day of my “real life test” starts today, and oh my, I’m nervous.

The weekend was spent doing all kinds of fun things, especially shopping for some new outfits, lots of eating and Mamma Mia! (fab movie). After getting up extra early to get ready for workup, hair, makeup and clothes etc. the morning has been quite uneventful, then I logged into my computer at work. It would appear that despite being assured my details would be updated ready for first thing today, they still show old me.

Nooooo!

By my measure, I think I’m about half way through my transition. My hair is mostly sorted, skin looks great, I’ve developed some curves etc. Unfortunately, when I look in the mirror, I’m only really seeing hints of me as female, I seem to have to put loads of effort into it too (though maybe that’s just part of being a woman).

Just one week to go the official start of my real life test, and I'm getting nervous. Even though this is something I’ve been working towards in one form or another for the last couple of decades, I could never really visualise the day where I go “full time”, don’t know why, it just felt like it would never happen.

I’m going on a shopping spree this weekend to finish off my new wardrobe, it’s all very exciting, though still feels like I’m about to start on one of those “life roller coasters” that come along every once in a while, right now I’m on the lift hill approaching the top :)

Ok, so it's been a few months getting things together to start posting, but I think I'm finally there. Over this weekend I'll be adding some modules to the site to enable the gallery and things I'd like to add, all being well I should be up and running by Monday.

So then, 2008 has landed and it's time to get motivated. Some huge challenges ahead this year, and I'll be placing videos and blog entries on this site along with the articles, and general stuff from the old site here too.
